Analysis of sewage and sludge

Wessling Polska takes samples and performs analyses of sewage with the use of a wide range of accredited, reference test methods, specified in current legal acts, such as:

  • Regulation of Minister of Environment of 10 November 2005 on substances which pose a special hazard to aquatic environments, whose discharging with industrial sewage to sewerage systems requires a water permit (J. of Laws No. 233, item 1988, as subsequently amended)

We arrange and perform momentary and daily average sewage sample taking. Owing to our perfectly organised logistic system and a team of qualified sample takers, we can perform sample taking by accredited methods at any place in the country.

We offer to our customers a wide range of analyses which includes determination of heavy metals, biogenic substances, petroleum products, pesticides in samples, as well as their physicochemical parameters.

We will welcome cooperation with wastewater treatment and industrial plants. Sewage analyses performed at our laboratories will allow to determine pollutants concentrations and charges. They will also allow to control whether the required pollution limits are kept.

We also perform analyses of communal sludge. According to the requirements set forth in the Regulation of Minister of Environment on communal sludge of 13 July 2010 (J. of Laws, 2010, No. 137, item 924), some physicochemical parameters have to be determined in them, such as:

  • pH,
  • dry matter content,
  • organic matter,
  • total nitrogen,
  • ammonium nitrogen,
  • total phosphorus,
  • calcium,
  • magnesium,
  • heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, nickel, zinc, copper and chromium)

as well as certain microbiological ones, such as:

  • Salmonella pathogens,
  • the count of live eggs of intestinal parasites Ascaris sp., Trichuris sp., Toxocara sp.

We offer analyses of communal sludge, performed in accordance with current regulations. They are performed in our accredited laboratories.

We also perform soil analyses to determine the doses of sludge used to restore of fertilise them.
